Short Bio
Born in London, I was set to become a product designer having attended Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design, but decided to become a tech entrepreneur instead.
Some of my early startup ventures included Corsellis-Montford Interactive (a digital media consultancy) acquired by New Media Industries Group plc, and iCollector plc (online auction platform), acquired by Able Auctions Inc.
After successfully exiting, I completed a part-time MBA while helping to establish the FIA Masters Historic Formula One Championship (F1 is one of my passions). Although great fun, after a couple of years I realised that the motor racing industry wasn’t for me, so quit.
The following month I drove across the Sahara in a Land Rover with a small team of two intrepid entrepreneurs and a couple of experienced desert explorers. The team included the land speed legend, Richard Noble OBE, and the co-founder of a dynamic health food company, Crispin Clay.
After returning from the desert, I moved up to Scotland to become an entrepreneur in residence at Edinburgh University where I was embedded within the Artificial Intelligence Applications Institute.
During my tenure I met, and remain good friends with, many extremely bright and entrepreneurial Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence grads including Tom Griffiths (FanDuel co-founder), and my colleague, Dr Tim Willis.
While at Edinburgh Uni, I founded a social commerce company (Vibio UK Ltd), built a development team in Scotland, set up a US subsidiary (Vibio Inc), and opened an office in San Francisco.
In 2012 I returned to London where I was offered the opportunity to work with a pioneer in the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) sector. This experience sent my career in a new and exciting direction…
